Gironde-sur-Dropt ( Gascon : Gironda sau drot ) is a municipality with 1261 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the French department of Gironde . It belongs to the canton of Le Réolais et Les Bastides in the Langon arrondissement . The inhabitants are called Girondais .
geography
Gironde-sur-Dropt is about 46 kilometers southeast of Bordeaux . Here the Dropt flows into the Garonne . Gironde-sur-Dropt is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Morizès in the north, Les Esseintes in the north and northeast, La Réole in the east, Floudès in the southeast, Barie in the south and southwest and Casseuil in the west.
