The municipality is located on the left bank of the Garonne , about 28 kilometers southeast of Bordeaux . The departmental road D1113 and the parallel railway line from Bordeaux to Langon run through the municipality .

history

Up until the revolution , the place belonged to a manor that gradually belonged to different families.

In 1793 the municipality of Arbanats was founded.
