Cudos ( Cudos to gascognisch ) is a French municipality with 802 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement Langon and the canton Le Sud-Gironde (until 2015: canton Bazas ). The inhabitants are called Cudossais .
geography
Cudos is 57 kilometers south-southeast of Bordeaux and about 18 kilometers south of Langon . Cudos is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bazas and Sauviac in the north, Birac in the northeast, Lavazan in the east, Lerm-et-Musset in the south and southeast, Escaudes in the south and southwest, Bernos-Beaulac in the west and Marimbault in the northwest.
The river Barthos runs along the southern boundary of the municipality and flows into the Ciron . The national route 524 and the A65 autoroute run through the municipality . The place is located on Via Lemovicensis , one of the four historical " Paths of the St. James pilgrims in France ".
