Bommes is known for its excellent noble sweet white wines and belongs to the Sauternes growing region in Bordeaux . 381 hectares of vineyards are available. The small river Ciron flows through Bommes, the cold spring water of which flows into the warmer waters of the Garonne and forms fog in autumn , which offers the best opportunities for the noble rot fungus Botrytis cinerea to increase the sugar content of the grapes .
