Saint-Leger-de-Balson ( Occitan Sent Lugèir de Balion ) is a French municipality with 337 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Aquitaine ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Langon and Les Landes des Graves (until 2015 Saint-Symphorien ). The inhabitants are called hostensois .

Saint-Léger-de-Balson is located about 50 kilometers south-southeast of Bordeaux . Saint-Léger-de-Balson is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Balizac in the north, Villandraut in the east and northeast, Préchac in the east and southeast, Bourideys in the south and Saint-Symphorien in the west.
