Targon is a French commune with 2,077 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the canton of L'Entre-deux-Mers .
history
In 1562 Targon was affected by the Huguenot Wars .
Targon was one of the six communities that the February 17, 1800 to the September 10, 1926 existing district belonged to La Réole and the Arrondissement Langon went over.
