Hure is a French commune with 513 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gironde department in the Aquitaine region . The inhabitants call themselves Hurois or Huroises .
geography
The Garonne forms the northern municipal boundary to the opposite village of Bourdelles . Other neighboring communities are Meilhan-sur-Garonne in the east, Noaillac in the south and Fontet in the west.
The Canal latéral à la Garonne , which is parallel to the river and whose former towpaths are now partly asphalted, runs between Hure and the Garonne . The Lisos River flows into the Garonne at the municipal border with Meilhan-sur- Garonne.
