Barie ( Occitan: Varía ) is a French commune with 296 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gironde department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Langon and the canton of Le Réolais et Les Bastides .
geography
The municipality is located just under 50 kilometers southeast of Bordeaux .
Neighboring communities are:
- Gironde-sur-Dropt in the north,
- Floudes in the east,
- Bassanne in the southeast,
- Castillon-de-Castets in the south,
- Castets-en-Dorthe in the southwest,
- Caudrot in the west and
- Casseuil to the northwest.
The northern municipal boundary is formed by the Garonne River.
