Martres ( Occitan identical) is a French municipality with 113 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Aquitaine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Langon and the canton of L'Entre-deux-Mers (until 2015 Targon ). The inhabitants are called Martrais .

geography

Martres is about 38 kilometers east-southeast of Bordeaux . Martres is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Baigneaux in the north and north-west, Frontenac in the north and north-east, Daubèze in the east, Coirac in the south, Saint-Genis-du-Bois in the south and south-west and Montignac in the west.
