Toulenne is a French commune with 2,640 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) on the left bank of the Garonne in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The neighboring municipalities are Verdelais in the north, Saint-Maixant in the northeast, Langon in the southeast, Fargues in the southwest and Preignac in the northwest. The residents call themselves "Toulennais".
The nearest train station is in Langon, on the SNCF railway line Bordeaux - Sète .
