Cazats ( Gascon Casats ) is a French municipality with 426 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Aquitaine ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Langon and the canton Le Sud-Gironde (until 2015 Bazas ). The inhabitants are called Cazadais .

geography

Cazats is 55 kilometers south-southeast of Bordeaux and about nine kilometers south of Langon . Cazats is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Coimères in the north and north-west, Brouqueyran in the north and north-east, Bazas in the south and east, Aubiac in the west and Mazères in the west and north-west.

In the southeast of the municipality is the Bazas-Cazats airfield .
