Roaillan ( gascognisch : Roalhan ) is a French municipality with 1,700 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Langon and the canton of Le Sud-Gironde (until 2015: canton of Langon ). The inhabitants are called Roaillanais .

Roaillan is located about 44 kilometers south-southeast of Bordeaux . Roaillan is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fargues in the north, Langon in the northeast, Mazères in the east, Le Nizan in the south and Léogeats in the west.
