The Anderson Knoll is the southernmost nunatak of the Granite Knolls . In East Antarctic Victoria Land, it rises 1.5 km south of the main massif not far from the Blue Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the Nunatak after the engineer Klaus Gote Anderson (1922-1991), who was involved as a member of the United States Geological Survey between 1968 and 1969 in the establishment of geodetic surveying stations in different areas of Antarctica .
