The Granite Knolls (literally translated granite knubbel ) are prominent rocky outcrops in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . They rise up on the northwest flank of Blue Glacier and 5 miles west of Hobbs Peak .
They received their descriptive name from participants in the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) under the direction of the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott .
