Louchats ( Occitan Loishats ) is a French municipality with 724 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Aquitaine ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Langon and the canton Les Landes des Graves (until 2015 Saint-Symphorien ). The inhabitants are called Louchatais .

Louchats is located about 49 kilometers south-southeast of Bordeaux . Louchats is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cabanac-et-Villagrains in the north, Guillos in the north-east, Origne in the east, Saint-Symphorien in the south and south-east, Le Tuzan in the south and south-west, Hostens in the west and south-west and Saint-Magne in the west and north-west .
