The Black Box Revelation is a Founded in 2005, Belgian garage rock - band , the only of a guitarist / singer and a drummer there.
history
Jan Paternoster (guitar / vocals) and Dries Van Dijck (drums) founded their first band, The Mighty Generators , together with a bassist in Brussels at the age of 12 and 14 respectively . Shortly afterwards, however, they kick the bassist out of the band and call themselves The Black Box Revelation . In 2006 they finished second in the Belgian Humo's Rock Rally music competition. After the first EP Introducing the Black Box Revelation was released in the spring of 2007 , The Black Box Revelation toured extensively and played in summer at major festivals such as Pukkelpop or the Dour Festival .
In 2007 the debut album Set Your Head On Fire was released , and in 2010 the second album Silver Threats . Silver Threats takes first place in the Belgian sales charts for Flanders . In 2011 her third album, My Perception , was released, which was produced by Alain Johannes .
They cite Led Zeppelin , The Datsuns , The Rolling Stones , Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and The Stooges as their musical role models .
