Press Play was a Danish video game development studio based in Copenhagen .

history

Press Play was founded in 2006 by Ole Teglbjærg, Rune Dittmer and Mikkel Thorsted. In 2012, Press Play was acquired by Microsoft and became part of Microsoft Studios (now known as Xbox Game Studios ). In March 2016, Press Play was closed and development of the Knoxville title was discontinued. Press Play has released five titles since it was founded in 2006 until it closed in 2016.

After the shutdown, the founding members of Press Play started a new studio called Flashbulb Games and are working on a new sandbox game called Trailmakers .

On November 10, 2016, Flashbulb acquired the rights to all press-play titles. Kalimba , Tentacles: Enter the Mind , and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood were republished under Flashbulb Games.
