Max and the Magic Marker is a computer game released in 2010 . The designer is Mikkel Thorsted from the independent Danish development studio Press Play . In this game you can draw anything you want with the mouse, which is supposed to represent the magic marker , in order to solve puzzles.

action

You control little Max, who one day will be given a marker. He immediately starts to paint and suddenly his drawing, a nasty monster, comes to life and wants to make his drawings unsafe. Max can't see that and has an idea: he paints himself in his drawings.

Gameplay

You steer Max through his drawings. You have to defeat black gobos on the way to the nasty monster. But you can only defeat them if you drop ink on them. On his way, Max also has to collect various items, such as B. Parts for a lightbulb or hidden black items. But the most important items in this game are the balls with ink. In each ball there is ink for the magic marker, which then fills up more and more. You can switch to fantasy mode, in which Max freezes again into a drawing. In this mode you can draw in midair. You also have to achieve a certain goal before you can get any more black items.

Awards

In 2009 the game was awarded the prize for innovative game design at the European Innovative Games Award and best game at the Unity Awards. In 2010 it also received the D2D Vision Award from the Independent Games Festival .
