Pride and Fall is a futurepop band from Stavanger , Norway . It was founded in 2000 by Sigve Monsen and Svein Joar A. Johnsen.

history

The band emerged from Sigves and Svein's desire to make music with a more electronic and club-oriented sound than they did in their joint project An Evening with Kisses . Then Per Waagen, a long-time friend of the two, joined the band as a programmer and keyboardist. Shortly after the band was founded, a first demo was released. The debut album Nephesh followed in 2003 and the single Paragon was released from it ; Released in Europe on the Dependent Records label , in the USA on Metropolis Records and in Scandinavia on Memento Material . In 2004 the band performed for the first time outside of Norway at various festivals. In 2005, the second single Border was released, which was only available on the Internet. The second album Elements of Silence was released in January 2006. In May of the same year they supported Covenant on their UK tour.

In 2007 Pride and Fall performed at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen .

The album In My Time of Dying was released on August 17, 2007. In the German Alternative Charts it was able to place itself at number 1.

In May 2012 the track “Reborn” was released as an mp3 download.
