Procycling

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Procycling is a specialist magazine for road cycling .

The magazine was first published in the UK in April 1999 and has since been distributed in all English-speaking countries around the world. The first German edition appeared in February 2004 in Degen Mediahouse GmbH. In addition to test reports and racing reports, the focus is on what is happening within professional road cycling and the teams. There are also tips on training and nutrition as well as market overviews.

From January 2007 the magazine appeared temporarily in the publishing house Bruckmann ; from March 2010 the Degen Mediahouse took over the publication again.

In the heyday of the cycling boom, the sold circulation in 2006 was up to 25,000 copies per month (of which around 6,000 were subscribers). This declined considerably as a result of the various doping scandals and in 2013, when Procycling switched to the current publisher WOM Medien , around 10,000 copies were sold (including around 3,500 subscribers). Marcus Degen was editor-in-chief of the German edition until March 2013. He was followed by the current editor-in-chief Chris Hauke .
