The Adventures of Professor Palmboom , or Professor Palmboom for short , is a comic series by the Dutch illustrator Dick Briel .

The series is about Professor Julius Palmboom and his friend Markus. The two get caught up in dangerous adventures again and again.

The albums were first published by Arboris and also translated into German. In Germany, the laid Carlsen Verlag volumes.

The album Die Rostgranate also contains the story The Mosquito Army ( Het leger van Phillpotts ).

The story was drawn in the Ligne claire by Hergé, as Hergé was Briel's model. The Ratcliff Highway story had been planned for several years but could not later be published because Briel died of cancer before completion in 2011.
