Professor Sprenger is a cultivar of the ornamental apple ( Malus × zumi ). It is named after Albrecht Marinus Sprenger , the former head of the Institute for Horticulture in Wageningen .

The variety is fast-growing and produces small, spherical orange-yellow fruits. It has practically no susceptibility to scab and mildew. Professor Sprenger is often planted as a pollinator tree.
