Progetto Corso Marche

The Progetto Corso Marche (Project Corso Marche) is a project by the technology company Leonardo to redesign the former site of the former Alenia Aeronautica (now Leonardo). Alenia relocated its production facilities to Caselle Torinese ( Turin Airport ), which freed up large areas for other uses.

The construction site is in a central area of the city, near the Marche metro station of the Turin metro , at the intersection of the two main streets, Corso Marche and Corso Francia. Thanks to its proximity to the subway, the district can be reached in less than 10 minutes from the city center. The site is also close to the Torino-Aeritalia Airport .

The project has two parts: The Distretto Aerospaziale building is to become a 25,000 m² research and development center in which 1,000 people can work. It is intended to accommodate companies from the area around Thales Alenia Space. In the second part of the new district, apartments, offices, shops, a hotel, a sports stadium and a branch of the Technical University of Turin are to be built.

The heart of the district and central lifeline is a wide promenade (pedestrian zone) that is delimited by two squares. At one of these squares, on the side facing Corso Francia, a 150 m high skyscraper is to be built, which is to become the district's landmark. A hotel and offices will be housed in it.
