Progil (Produits Chimiques Gillet) was a French chemical company founded in 1918.
history
The company was created by bundling the chemical activities of Groupe Gillet . In 1972 the Rhone-Progil was created and in 1975 Rhône-Poulenc took over the Progil. The company, which had specialized in arsenic insecticides in the beginning, was the applicant for numerous patents and active in many areas (chlorine, phosphate, plastics and petrochemicals).
