Program management

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As a program management refers to a not necessarily temporary management task which the formative design , the cross-line and controlling (in the sense of control, steering) a defined amount of content of related projects comprises.

The term "program management" has not yet been used by any German standard or directive. The terms " multi-project management ", "program management" and " project portfolio management " are currently still used overlappingly by DIN , so that a clear distinction does not yet appear possible.

In the current German standardization efforts, an attempt is therefore made to delimit them, as has long been implemented in the field of industrial standards (for example PMI or GPM ).
