Project Management Association

A project management association is any institution that promotes standardization and / or the exchange of experience in the field of project management .

Important internationally oriented project management associations are the International Project Management Association (IPMA) and the Project Management Institute (PMI). The American Society for the Advancement of Project Management , the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) and the British Association for Project Management (APM) continue to play leading roles .

In Germany actively are the German Association for Project Management (GPM) with their regional groups and the PMI with four chapters (Berlin / Brandenburg, Frankfurt, Cologne and Munich).
