Pronoe (wife of Kaunos)
Pronoe ( Greek Προνόη , "the precautionary" or "the forward thinker") is a Lycian naiad in Greek mythology . She appeared to Kaunos , who was fleeing the love of his sister Byblis , and announced her suicide. She became his wife, whereby Kaunos became the ruler of the country and gave birth to his son Aigialos , who took over the rule after the death of his father and founded a city which he named after his father.
