The Protektorwerk Florence Maisch GmbH & Co. KG is a family business founded in 1903 that specializes in the production of building profiles specializes. The company is headquartered in Gaggenau ( Baden-Württemberg ). history

In 1903, Florenz Maisch founded a stamping, metal goods and tool factory in Gaggenau. In the 1920s, the family company produced plaster profiles for indoor and outdoor use for the first time. In 1930, Maisch succeeded in not producing the legs of the plaster corner strips that had been produced to date in a perforated form, but in designing them like expanded metal. On September 10, 1944, the Protektorwerk was completely destroyed in the first bomb attack on Gaggenau. After the reconstruction, the production of plastic profiles started in the 1960s. After the introduction of new, material-friendly production processes, Protektor was awarded the German Raw Material Efficiency Prize and Environmental Technology Prize in 2013.
