The Protestantse Kerk (also called Nicolaaskerk ) is a Protestant church in the district of 's-Heer Hendrikskinderen in the Dutch city ​​of Goes ( province of Zeeland ).

history

The church was dedicated to St. Nicholas of Myra until the Reformation . The first documentary mention took place in 1276 as Ecclesia Henrici , the church was a parish of Wissekerke . The Reformation was introduced in 1580.

The nave of the church was put down in 1805 because it was dilapidated and replaced by a simple hall structure in neo-Gothic forms, which was built as a Reformed preaching church without a choir. The massive, unfinished Gothic tower dates from the first half of the 15th century. He received an octagonal attachment in the 19th century.

The parish belongs to the Protestant Church in the Netherlands .
