The Provincial Heil and Nursing Institution Plagwitz am Bober was located in Plagwitz am Bober , Lower Silesia .

It existed since July 1824 and was set up in Plagwitz Castle . It was initially used to house the physically ill, and from 1829 as an insane asylum . It was closed in 1864, but reopened in 1869 and additional buildings were added. A second colony in the village emerged on the Grüttnergut. From 1876 to 1881 Ewald Hecker was head of the institution.
