"Flying Horse" (Tongbenma)

The Provincial Museum of Gansu and Gansu Museum (Chinese:甘肃省博物馆. Gansu Sheng Bówùguǎn ;. English Gansu Provincial Museum) is located in Lanzhou , the capital of the Chinese province of Gansu .

It was founded in 1956 under its current name and goes back to an older institution, the Gānsù Shěng kēxué jiàoyùguǎn ( 甘肃 省 科学 教育 馆 ) founded in 1939 .

The address of the museum is Xijin Xi Lu 3 (Xijin West Road 3). Acting director is E Jun (俄军).

Exhibits

Among his highlights are among ceramics of different Neolithic cultures, including the painted pottery from the Dadiwan culture , as well as 1969 in Wuwei discovered galloping on the back of a swallow Bronze Horse, the "Flying Horse" from the grave of General Zhang (Leitai Hanmu ) the time of the Eastern Han Dynasty (see photo).
