The processional is a medieval liturgical manuscript. As a rule, it contains magnificently designed decorative pages on which the process of processions on holidays and other days is described in detail. Several examples of valuable processionals are still to be found in monastery libraries and archives or in the treasury of medieval cathedrals and churches.
