Psammophile

As psammophil (from Greek  ψάμμος psammos "sand", φιλία philia "friendship") are organisms that can survive and multiply in a sandy habitat . In addition to sand desert and beach organisms, these include above all the organisms that live on and in the sandy substrate of water ( psammon ), including above all the organisms of the sand gap fauna ( mesopsammon ).
