The narrow-beach Lilac ( Limonium narbonense ) is a plant from the genus of the beach Lilac ( Limonium ).
features
The narrow-leaved sea lavender is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 30 to 70 centimeters. The leaves are 12 to 30 centimeters long, lanceolate-spatulate, long narrowed and usually pointed. The main nerve is strong, the pinnate nerves are weak. The inflorescence is wingless and large. Its branches are loosely standing and often curved backwards. Sterile branches are few or completely absent. The calyx is 5 to 7 millimeters in size and white to pale purple in color. There are other very small teeth between the 5 triangular calyx teeth.
The flowering period extends from July to October.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 36, 54 or 72.
Occurrence
The narrow-leaved sea lavender occurs in the Mediterranean area on salt marshes.
