Pseudo-symeon

With the author's name " Pseudo-Symeon " a Byzantine world chronicle from the late 10th century is referred to, which has been preserved through the Codex Parisinus graecus 1712 . It is a work related to the logothetical chronicle and describes the history of the biblical creation of the world up to the year 963.

For the years up to 812 the unknown author uses Theophanes Confessor and Georgios Monachos as sources . For the later years he takes over parts of the scriptor Incertus Leo des Armenians and from Joseph Genesios . Georgios Kedrenos used the work for his world chronicle as a template for the years up to 812.
