Puddalum

Puddalum , also Puddalam or Pöddalömm , was a unit of mass ( measure of weight) for cotton . The measure was twice the five-quarter Sihr . The measure was used in the area of Visakhapatnam , in the British Presidency of Madras on the Coromandel coast in the Indian suburbs. The units of measurement are converted to the units commonly used today as follows:

  • 1 Pöddalömm = 680.385 grams
  • 1 Pöddalömm = 2 Jäbbolömm / Yabbolum
  • 1 Kändi / Candy = 20 Mahnds = 320 Pöddalömm
