properties

The bridge was opened at the end of 2012 by the then President of Mexico Felipe Calderón , together with the 30-kilometer bypass of the city of Xalapa . It has two separate lanes and leads in a wide arc over the underlying cut of the Río Sedeño . Due to its height, it is clearly visible from the eastern area around Xalapa, for example from Naolinco .

The artificial structure, constructed as a cantilever bridge, is 470 meters long, with three pillars spanning 145 meters in the middle and 90 meters each at both ends of the bridge. The bridge piers are six meters wide.
