Francisco Puñal Martínez (born September 6, 1975 in Pamplona ) is a Spanish football player who plays for CA Osasuna in the Spanish Primera División .
Player career
Francisco Puñal is one of the few players these days who feel connected to their team and, above all, to their homeland. Since his personal promotion from the B-Team to the professional squad in 1998, he has been under contract exclusively for CA Osasuna . The only exception in his career so far was a two-year loan deal between 1999 and 2001, where he was to develop further at what was then Segunda División -Club CD Leganés from near Madrid . Even then he was able to prove his scoring risk as a playmaker with eleven goals in his two years there.
In more than 200 league games he has often shown his class in the top Spanish league.
