Hallmark stands for:

  • a tool in the leather, silver and goldsmith's, artistic blacksmith's and engraving trade as well as in the manufacture of coin dies, see hallmark (tool)
  • Fineness stamp , the stamp imprint on objects made of precious metal to indicate the corresponding fineness
  • in typography the non-printing inner parts of a letter, see hallmark (typography)
  • a vulgar term for the vulva
  • the TS potter's tool, consisting of terra sigillata (TS) or bone, with which he pressed the head stamp (potter's stamp, name stamp, impression) into the ceramic, see hallmark (terra sigillata)
