PureVolume

PureVolume is a website for bands and musicians . Every artist and band can set up their own microsite there , which contains news, photos, upcoming shows, background information or biographies, contact information and music. This can be downloaded or listened to on the website. PureVolume has over 500,000 registered artists, mostly from rock , alternative rock , indie rock and punk rock or their sub-genres. This includes well-known mainstream bands as well as emerging and indie bands. A comparable but much larger website is MySpace .

Features

  • There is the possibility to register as an artist via a free account or a paid membership. The accounts for normal users are free.
  • Artists can upload their MP3 files, keep a friends list and post their shows on their pages.
  • Current events from artists appear on the profile of the friendly users.
  • The user defines certain categories through which he can get in contact with like-minded users.
  • Bands can pay PureVolume to promote them through a "Pure Promo" program. Some bands are also selected by the PureVolume staff and receive this free of charge ("Pure Pick").
  • There are genre-specific PureVolume charts
