Puusepp reflex

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Puusepp reflex , also known as the Puusepp sign , is a pathological reflex that can indicate damage to the pyramidal path ( pyramidal path sign ). The reflex is triggered in the same way as the Babinski reflex by wiping the soles of the feet. It is positive when there is a slow, tonic abduction (splaying) of the little toe. It was named after the Estonian neurologist and neurosurgeon Ludvig Puusepp , who first described the sign.
