The Pyli source (locally only referred to as the Greek Πηγ = Pigí = source) is located in the small town of Pyli on the Greek island of Kos .
The Pyli spring pours out the water from a rather elaborate stone cube with stone snapdragons. This stone cube was built around 1592 during the Ottoman rule in the center of Pyli at a height of 86 m above sea level . The St. Nicholas Church is nearby. As a rule, the spring does not run dry even on hot days. The source is freely accessible at all times and is still a popular meeting point in Pyli for the locals.
