Pyongyang FC (평양 축구단) was a football club from Pyongyang , today's capital of North Korea .
history
1930s
The club was founded on January 15, 1933 through a constituent meeting. Just a year later, they won the All Korea Football Tournament by defeating Joseon FC (now South Korea ) in the final. This was the most important title in Korea at the time.
There was a certain rivalry with Kyungsung FC .
1940s
By the 1940s at the latest, Pyongyang FC had established itself as the best football club in Korea.
1950s
For reasons unknown, the FC was disbanded during the Korean War in the early 1950s.
Stadion
Home was the Kirimri Stadium with 20,000 seats, which is now known as Kim-Il-sung Stadium .

- Park Kyu-chung , played for Pyongyang FC from 1939 to 1940 and competed for the South Korean national soccer team at the 1948 Summer Olympics and the 1954 World Cup
