Pyramid poplar (heraldry)

The pyramid poplar is a common figure in heraldry and is rarely found in the coat of arms .

A deciduous pyramid poplar tree with a slender, segmented, leafy crown is depicted as the heraldic figure . The number of crown segments placed slightly upwards on top of one another is usually limited to three. The tincture is subject to the heraldic rules, green for the treetop is preferred. The pyramid poplar is placed on a mountain or three-mountain and there are often three trees in the coat of arms.
