Pyramis is a manufacturer of components for fitted kitchens, including fittings , sinks, extractor hoods and hobs .

The company from Liti near Thessaloniki produces up to 1,500,000 built-in stainless steel basins each year , 70% of the goods are exported. The company is u. a. certified according to ISO 9001, EMAS and ISO 14001 (environmental management certifications ).

history

The company was founded in 1959 as a metal construction company by Alexandros Bakatselos and specialized as a supplier for fitted kitchens. Italy was one of the first export markets. Stainless steel sinks have been produced since 1968 , and the range was later expanded to include mixer taps, extractor hoods and electrical appliances (stoves, hobs).

Between 1997 and 2007, 43 million euros were invested in production facilities. From 1999 Pyramis established its own foreign branches, including in Poland, Germany, Great Britain, Romania, Russia, Bulgaria, Italy, the United Arab Emirates and India. The German subsidiary was in Alsbach-Hähnlein and has meanwhile moved to a listed building near the central warehouse in Dillenburg.

In 2013, Pyramis started its own production of composite sinks, which are marketed under the material name Pyragranite. The new production facilities with an area of ​​4,000 m² are located in Kilkis (Greece).

The founder of the Pyramis Group, Alexandros Bakatselos, died in August 2016 at the age of 84. His son Nikolaos Bakatselos took over the chairmanship of the board of the Pyramis Group. He had already become managing director a few years earlier.
