Qamdo is a Tibetan place name in China; among other things it stands for:

• the former Qamdo administrative district in the Tibet Autonomous Region , now Qamdo (city) ;
• the former Qamdo County of the above-mentioned administrative district, now the Karub District (City District) ;
• the former municipality of Qamdo, capital and seat of government of the above-mentioned former administrative district and former county, today the municipality of Chengguan (Karub) .
