The Qatar University Stadium ( Arabic ملعب جامعة قطر) is a football stadium in the Qatari capital Doha . The stadium is to be expanded from currently around 7,000 to 43,520 seats and was intended to be the venue for several games of the 2022 World Cup . The stadium will be used by the university for several sports. The budget is said to be based on US $ 300 million.
