Qi school

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Qi school ( Chinese  齐 学 , Pinyin Qíxué , W.-G. Ch'i-hsüeh ) is one of the schools in the study of the Confucian classics during the Qin Dynasty and the early Han Dynasty . It was so named because the school's scholars - such as Yuan Gusheng 辕 固 生 (who wrote a commentary on the Book of Songs ) and Gongyang Shou公羊 寿 (who commented on Gongyang's commentary on the Spring and Autumn Annals 春秋 公羊传 wrote) - all came from what was known as the State of Qi during the Warring States period .
