Qiandeng
Qiandeng ( Chinese 千灯 镇 , Pinyin Qiāndēng Zhèn ), also Qiandun , is an old water village that belongs to the city of Kunshan in Jiangsu Province in China. It is located 35 kilometers from Suzhou . Qiandeng has an area of 84 square kilometers and about 120,000 inhabitants. From Shanghai Pudong International Airport is 95 kilometers away.
history
Qiandeng has more than 2000 years of culture and history and is considered the origin of the Kun Opera . Seven arch bridges from the Ming and Qing dynasties are located on the river. The whole place is whitewashed and black paint.

- The Yu Family Pawn Shop An antique Chinese pawn shop, the Yu family's pawn shop, can be seen here.
- Gujian Museum Gujian was a famous Chinese opera master at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty. In this museum you can see the operas written by Gujian.
- Guyanwu's Residence Guyanwu was a poet and historian at the end of the Ming Dynasty. His residence contains three parts, the houses of Gu, the Gu family memorial temple and the Gu garden.
- Stone Slab Path This stone slab path is a typical Ming and Qing Dynasty stone slab path. The main stretch of this path, made of 2072 reddish stones, is 800 meters long.
- Three bridges under the moon These three bridges go back to three different dynasties. The bridge in the east was built in the Ming Dynasty, the one in the west in the Song Dynasty, and the third and youngest of the bridges was built in the Qing Dynasty.
