Quadrato

The quadrato was an Italian area and field measure in the Grand Duchy of Tuscany .

  • 1 quadrato = 100 tavoles = 10000 square braccia = 34.0646 ares .

The term has also been added to other dimensions in order to identify the dimension as a square measure. An example is Passo quadrato, the square step, with about 3.022988 square meters, which was valid in the Venetian area. In Nice it was the size Trabucco quadrato with 12 palmi quadrati, which corresponded to 10,044 square meters .
